Case Studies

CDS Case Study
New legislation named the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) required credit resellers to offer dispute resolution services for any credit product sold. FACTA spelled out a set of compliance rules that resellers must follow when facilitating the credit dispute process on behalf of a consumer. Before FACTA, credit dispute processing was offered out of courtesy and had no strict guidelines, timelines, and protocols, and therefore software support for the overall process was never developed (the process remained primarily paper). After FACTA, the process became too rigid and complex to remain a paper process and required an invest in a software solution.

Secure Portal Case Study
Our customer was obligated (by law) to have 10% of the total mortgage loan files audited post-closing. The clients originally mailed the files to the customer on weekly basis where the information was re-entered by the customer to create a record. Post-internal validations, the request for field validations using contractors for employment, property, and occupancy were mailed by the employees. The contractors were required to mail the results back. After performing the required checks the customer was required to provide a weekly report back to the customer.

Oracle BI Case Study
Over the years multiple databases had been introduced into the customer’s enterprise due to acquisitions and application development. Most of these databases were on different RDBMS such as Informix, Oracle, SQL Server, and even Access in some cases. Each department had created their own reporting solutions using various technologies such as Excel, Oracle Reports, and Crystal reports with assistance from IT department. For any changes to the existing reports, users were forced to request IT resource time. This caused a huge overhead in terms of maintenance costs, in addition to a severe security risk concerning sensitive consumer data that could be accessed by multiple users across divisions without centralized control of any sort. In addition, some reports caused significant load over production databases causing noticeable delays during business hours.
